There is still a long way to go.

By the end of 2010, China had produced 176 caustic soda enterprises, but most of the enterprises' production capacity was relatively small. Among them, there are 164 companies with less than 300,000 tons, and the cumulative production capacity accounts for more than half of the total domestic caustic soda production capacity.
